In the small Romanian village of Sapanta, it is custom to laugh about death instead of living in fear of its imminence. However, when a young man loved by the local community tragically passes away, respecting the tradition seems very difficult. The documentary explores the meaning of life and death through the beliefs of local people and how this cheerful place has affected the way they look at their own lives and deaths.
